Pour raconter une histoire, il faut connaître le vocabulaire de quelques champs lexicaux  :

  • champ lexical de l'école : a school, a pen, a pencil, a teacher, a book, a ruler, a school bag, a rubber, scissors...
  • champ lexical de la famille : the father, the mother, the sister, the brother, the grandfather, the grandmother, a daughter, a son, the parents …
  • champ lexical des loisirs : to read, to play football, to watch TV, to play basketball, to swim, to listen to music, to play an instrument, to ride a bike …
  • champ lexical des lieux : the school, the house, the swimming pool, the beach, the mountains, the zoo, the supermarket...

Il faut également connaître quelques adjectifs et leur contraire  :

  • beautiful/ugly
  • good/bad
  • tall/short
  • young/old
  • hot/cold
  • big/small

Il est utile de savoir la file numérique :

Enfin, lorsqu'on raconte une histoire, il faut la situer  :

  • dans le temps : today, yesterday, tomorrow, on Monday...
  • dans l'espace : it is in (dans), under (sous), on (sur), behind (derrière), in front of (devant)...
